3 Guaranteed Ways to Improve Self Awareness

Being efficient and effective is directly related to your self-awareness. Many self-destructive behaviors, like procrastination and perfectionism, keep you from productivity. It’s because you are either unaware of the behaviors and how they affect you, or of strategies to change.

We all know someone who is totally oblivious to how they show up to others. They, continually, get results they are not happy with and don’t understand why. We see, clearly, the reason why but they aren’t open to hearing it, so we say nothing.

Don’t be that guy or gal!

Self-awareness is a Fundamental Building Block to Success

Self-awareness doesn’t come easy, but it is the gateway to greatness. Any successful athlete, businessman, or performer will tell you, one key to their success is the ability to gain greater self-awareness. Once you start, you hunger for more because the results are undeniable.

At one time, Michael Jordan hired 4 coaches. Why? Each coach brings a different perspective and has the ability to see his blind spots. We all have blind spots. Like Michael, we have to have a hunger to gain awareness around what others see that we cannot. Tiger Woods is another example. At the top of his game, he hired a new coach to relearn his swing. That sounds crazy, right? He hit a plateau and had to learn a new way to surpass his old level of play. No matter how good you are, there is always better. High performers stay in constant pursuit of the next level, no matter what it takes.

So how does your self-awareness affect your success? Why does improving your self-awareness increase your chances of success?

What do we Mean by Self-awareness?

Being self-aware means that you are conscious of your feelings, desires, motives, and flaws. It shows that you are, not only, driven and goal-oriented, but also you possess maturity. If you can observe yourself with an outsider’s perspective, you are certainly capable of success in any area of your life.

Improve Self Awareness

Why Does Improving Your Self-awareness Increase Your Chances of Success?

By improving your self-awareness, you enhance every area of your life; relationships, health, finances and create more fulfilling experiences. Who doesn’t want that?

1.Relationship Expand and Deepen

Your desire to improve and grow must become a passionate pursuit. People are drawn to those that push themselves to be their best. They want to be around people who set big goals and openly share their hearts. When you become passionate about your personal development, you will find your peer group expands, mentors appear and so does the opportunity to mentor others.

2. Get Better Jobs, Faster

Companies want to hire people who are self-aware and open to feedback because they correlate self-awareness with high-quality workers. When hired, those who are self-aware strive to help the company grow.  They look for growth opportunities and improvement. What we do in one area of our lives often reveals our mindset, how we think, and approach other parts of our lives.

If you’re driven enough to implement regular changes to improve yourself, you’ll surely be driven to implement improvements in their company. Your openness and willingness to look and see things from other perspectives will help you to see any potential problems, ways to save money, or find efficiencies for the company.

3. Health Benefits

Just imagine what your health could look like with better awareness. For example, being more mindful of what you eat will lead you to eat more of the right things. You’ll know what foods make you feel good and which ones make you feel bad. That puts you in the driver’s seat of your nutritional health. There are many more examples, but for now, just realize awareness creates healthier choices.

How Does Self-awareness Affect Your Potential success?

Not being self-aware can be incredibly detrimental to your personal growth as well as your ultimate success in life. According to David Brooks, author of The Road to Character. We build our character over time by our external interaction with the world, what we decide it means to us, and how we interact with it. The result is our character. Our character develops from cultivating our strengths and confronting our weaknesses.

Here are 3 ways to boost your self-awareness:

1.Get Curious

You step into self-aware by reviewing yourself as objectively as possible. Review your behavior, not with judgment, but with curiosity. As you learn from yourself and others what works and what doesn’t, you can choose to change your behavior. Through this, you create growth and expand your character.

2. Practice it

Building self-awareness is a skill that needs to be practiced and re-enforced. We all know that if we don’t schedule time for something it won’t happen. Plan time in your calendar to reflect on what works well for you and what doesn’t. Make it a point to use that time to review a key meeting or interaction, to define an assignment for yourself each week, create a feedback session, or whatever will help you to keep practicing.

Many companies provide leadership training but why not include self-awareness classes as part of leadership training. Management training programs would produce better leaders and managers as a result. The investment will far outweigh the cost.

3. Seek External Feedback

Often, how you see yourself varies from how others see you.  Being conscious of how you interact with others and being open to feedback is key. Ask for feedback directly and be ready to receive it, openly. Your only response to it gets to be “Thank you” and “is there anything else?” Take it in and reflect on it. Later, evaluate the source and what was said then see what sticks. You only own what is true for you. Some of what they say reflects their challenges coming but nonetheless, all of what they say is valuable to how you interact with them and how you are perceived by them.

It is hard to look in the mirror and see your flaws but see them as an opportunity to grow, not as an excuse to stay where you are. Live in a mindset that perfection is only found in growth and the pursuit of growth. It isn’t about perfection in your character, perfection lies in the facts that you are open and taking an active role in your personal growth.

So now it is your turn. On a scale from 1-10 (10 being best) how self-aware are you? If you asked four of the people, in your life, what would they say? What is in the gap?

One Great Productivity App And Other Tips For Editing Text

I am more a visionary looking at the big picture than the minute details. I am better at seeing the errors in other people’s writing, concepts, strategies than my own- but who isn’t right?

The important thing is I know my strengths and weaknesses. Now it is time to start acting on them.

From a young age, I was showed that spelling and grammar were not my strong suite. At the age of 12, I went away my first year to sleep away camp and would write Wooden Blocks with the text: Grammarhome frequently.

I don’t recall writing to my brother but he must have been so excited to hear from me that he read my letters and wrote me back. As he was an enthusiastic student and budding writer his letters to me were more creative than I had imagined.

When I received his letter I was excited to get mail. It makes you feel important when mail arrives for you. My excitement faded when disappointment set in. The letter was not a letter written to me, but the letter I sent home. It was hardly recognizable behind the red pen marks correcting my grammar and spelling. There was so much red it was hard to see the original letter. I was not impressed and did not correct it. I think that may have discouraged me from writing home as much.

Funny, I later found out he corrected the grammar of the graffiti in the college bathrooms. At least they wrote something back for him to read.

When I went off to college, my same brother bought me a spell checker electronic unit. At the time we didn’t have a spell checker on the computers so it was like a digital dictionary providing you with the proper spelling. I guess I should be thrilled that my brother, yet again, was trying to help me be better. I guess I was not yet into self-development as this “favor” also went unappreciated and unused.

A few months ago, my brother sent me another reminder. Now I am old enough to appreciate the value of this gift. Every time he reads my book, a blog of mine, my website or a brochure he finds a mistake. I know this is something that can reflect poorly on me, and it is my nature to focus on the content and not these details. It continues to be a challenge for me to this day. To many people seeing my content for the first time, these details matter. I have had people say they couldn’t focus on my presentation any further because there was a spelling error.

I finally realize I need to take better care.

So what he sent me this time was a productivity app and plugin for my browser called Grammarly. I love it. I get to see all the red marks that work doesn’t seem to pick up and can make those changes before it gets published. Install this productivity app because it is important to pay attention to thee details and we need productivity apps to support us and provide the structure to do what we know.

In addition to the productivity app, here are a few other manual tricks to keeping your emails, brochures, and other texts error-free.

• Read what you’ve written out loud. You will catch the errors quicker when reading it out loud.
• Increase the font size. Squinting isn’t helping you read the passage or find the errors. Using extra-large text helps to enable easier reading.
• Let someone else read it. 4 eyes are better than 2. They will almost always see something you did not because you have looked at it so many times you see what it is supposed to be.
• Print it out. You will catch more mistakes when you print it to read it.
• Read the whole thing from start to finish.

No one understands better than me that spelling and grammar may not be your strong point. It is still up to you to deliver quality. You need to put the controls in place, take the extra time necessary and get the productivity apps and technology to support you and your efforts. It is possible something slips through the cracks but at least you can say you put in the effort.

7 Project Management Scheduling Tips

7 Project Management Scheduling Tips

When it comes to project management or event planning, the sheer amount of detail it takes can be overwhelming. Projects can be complex with multiple streams, budgets, resources, contingencies, and more. Planning is critical and over -planning can be detrimental.

The following 7 Project Management Scheduling Tips will go a long way in making your life easier.

1. Make Sure You Have All the Details

A detailed project plan with approval/buy-in from everyone you are working for is a must. Make sure you have all the details from major project milestones and deliverables. You must understand time frames, budgets and resource availability. Getting everything in writing ensures that there is no confusion later. Failing to do this will create problems in the management of the scope for the project. Managing expectation of the project can only be effectively done when the initial assumptions are put in writing and agreed.

To help with this make sure you have a really good project management scheduling template,  a timeline template or make one for yourself. There are plenty of you can find online that are either free or very affordable.

Project management scheduling tools such as graphing templates, resource, and financial planning can help the team quickly assess the critical path, resource and financial issues as the details are entered into the system. Often the details need to be reviewed multiple times before a viable plan is determined.

2. Select A Great Team

Project Management should be a sport because teamwork is the key to success. When you are assigning tasks make sure the team member getting the work has a skill-set to match. Also, set a clear project management scheduling goals so that you and the assigned team members know that they are on track. Often the project management scheduling tools also have chat functions and project notes to manage issues as and when they arise.

3 . Lead Your Team

Much too often, people working on projects are reporting to both a project manager and another line manager. This can make the project management more difficult as these team members have a conflict of interest in the importance of the various projects and activities they are working on. The project manager has to help the team identify challenges and find solutions to the obstacles as they arise. A good project management scheduling software can help to manage the various aspects of the project and provide alternatives solutions and scenarios when one path gets blocked. No project management scheduling software, however, can address the communication skills that the project manager needs to coordinate between project team members, project owners, line managers and other important stakeholders.

Corporate training programs for project managers must include presentation skills, negotiation, conflict management and other communication skills. Project Management training often falls short of building these important skills.

4. Plan For The Worst

In all aspects of project management, it is important to plan for the worst case scenario. Do this with every part of your project: Time frame, budget, and Project goals. You can actually do this in your project management software. Project management templates are available for Risk management and scenario planning. This is a proactive way to assess risk, anticipate challenges and create flexibility.

5. Communicate Effectively

This is an especially important aspect of project management. Proper communication ensures that your projects stay on track. And remember, it goes both ways. Project managers need to be able to communicate at all levels of the organization. Each level within the organization wants to hear different levels of details and highlight different parts of the project.

As I said earlier, project managers need proficient presentation skills, negotiation and conflict management. These are all related to the face to face communication. Although we live in a digital society, email and electronic communications are important but nothing beats a face-to -face conversation in terms of authenticity, clarity and building relationships.

Communication in Project Management

6. Test it
This tip is not always possible but one that if you can do it, you SHOULD. Test the environment, product, event or dynamics to help you foresee any problems that you may have missed before. I used to develop applications to run important business In the case of computer hardware set up a test environment before rolling out live to test performance, function, and usability.

7. Evaluate Your Project
Evaluating your project is an important part of the process that a lot of project management professionals ignore. What have you learned from the project? What did you do well? How can you improve? Asking these questions ensures that you grow as a project management professional, helps you use your project management scheduling tools more effectiveness and may impact future use of project management software. You need to learn from the project and apply what you learned for future projects.

Client surveys are a good way to get feedback that you would not get otherwise. Adding it to your project management schedule ensure you do not forget later.

Managing projects are not easy, training is required to build the necessary skills and to understand the best software to support you.

6 Ways to Make a New Year’s Resolution Stick

New Year's Resolutions written on a note pad.

Tricks To Make a New Year’s Resolution Stick

We all know New Year’s resolutions are a farce. They are brought on from disappointment from last years results, or from the excessive eating and drinking that goes on during the holiday period and leaves you a few pounds overweight and with short term determination to get back into better healthy habits.

At year end you have the desire but it isn’t a longing so the feeling fades as quickly as it came to be replaced by some other short term desire.

If you want to make a goal stick consider the following 6 ways to create greater accountability and set yourself up for success.

  1. Make a promise

Promises are often more effective than a New Year’s resolution as a promise goes deeper into our psyche. When we give our word, we are challenging our values and self-definition of honesty and integrity if we don’t do it.

“I will do the my planning fo the next day every afternoon” my client told me.

“How will we hold you accountable to do it?” I asked.

“I will do it.” He said with certainty.

I have heard him say that before and then not do it. So I pressed him further, understanding he didn’t want to create any accountability.

I asked him if he valued his word,

Of course he said “yes.”

“Do you promise you will do it?” I asked. He shifted in his seat and started to come up with how it might now always be possible.

“Can you promise for one week?” I asked.

I got him to promise for one week. He did it every day that week. That promise got him in a routine and created momentum. When you promise yourself that is one thing, but to promise a third party means more to us. We perform better when being watched and when we commit to others.

Are you ready to get some outside accountability? Promise?

  1. Get a buddy

The best way to follow through with anything is to create accountability to help us follow through. f you are looking to get fit and go to the gym 3 times a week. Get someone to go with you, join a class, pay a trainer. These are ways to push you to follow through even when you don’t feel like it. That is why we give up- we give into our excuses. Its cold, you went t bed late, your tired or whatever your excuse is. We are less likely to voice our excuses to our buddy and when we are really a good friend or buddy, we don’t let them get away with them either. You keep each other going.

  1. Competition

By competing with others you are creating some drive inside to take the goal outside of yourself. We all want to win and it is more fun and more of psychological win when we have an opponent. Yes, you can also compete with yourself and set a way to compete with your last score, but the fact is, our competitive nature really kicks in with an opponent.

You plan to count your steps, well do it with a friend and see how much more you walk when you can see their progress throughout the day. I created a monster in my boyfriend a few years back. I bought him a Fitbit and he used it to compete. He is very competitive in nature so this was the perfect motivator for his steps. he didn’t pay attention to the weight he wanted to lose which doesn’t feel as good as beating a friend on the number of steps each day. The fact that it created a daily win for him, was creating so much momentum and created some very positive habits of taking the stairs, parking far away from the store , etc. He kept up his 10K steps for the whole year. It wasn’t a resolution but a friendly competition.

  1. Set 30 day Goals

Yearly goals can seem too far away and daunting with a whole year ahead of you. It can create a lot of stress with a big goal looming over you. Just plan for the short term. This will enable you to set realistic targets and create specific steps. You can focus on the next step and avoid overwhelm associated with the enormity of the bigger goal.

  1. Feel the pain and pleasure

We are simple creatures motivated by pain and pleasure. At the start of the promise get clear on both. Feel the pain from the consequences of not doing what you say you will. Really associate yourself with all you are giving up or losing as a result of not following through. Feel the worst that could happen. Really push it to feel such regret, sorry, fear. Then on the flip side, feel the pleasure. What will be different in your life? Why is this so important to you? Who will benefit? Really light up the passion and drive with those questions.

  1. Focus on only one thing

The questions might be, how many resolutions are people making? If you focus on one thing you are likely to make progress. If you address all the things in your life you want to change and then set resolutions for all areas-you loose focus. It is stressful to change everything at once. It all falls apart quickly.

Focus on only one thing. Select the one thing that when you make changes in this area will have the most influence on all other areas. Now you can set specific actions to support yourself. I noticed that one of my clients week after week wasn’t doing what was on the list of commitments they made. Why? It was just too much. I needed to narrow it down to one thing. This kept him focused, made progress, and then he could add additional items. Maybe you are overwhelmed as it is. Make it easy on yourself and create the focus on one thing for the month and then build from there.

Pro-Tips: 6 Healthy Habits of Successful People

keyboard with green key "healthy habits"

Following The Habits of Successful People Can Make You Healthy and Happy

My younger son arrived in this world being able to easily create a habits for all parts of his life. When he was two he would come in the house take his shoes off, hang up his coat and put his shoes directly under where his coat hung on “his” peg. I didn’t teach him this, he just did it. He amazed me this past summer as at 15, he fluidly moved through working as a camp counselor almost full time, taking an online line health class, football practice several days a week and piano lessons. He also made his own healthy breakfast and lunch, slept about 8 hours a night and even had fun with friends. It is his habits and his focus that enables him to accomplish more than most adults – and do it in a healthy, low stress way.

You are your habits. Like my son habits, habits are what shape the most successful people and makes them who they are. Arianna Huffington, Tony Robbins, and Michael Phelps are all noted to have habits or rituals that they do every day that help them achieve more.

What is it that my son and successful adults do differently than the rest of us that keep them healthy so they can perform as such a high level?

  1. Don’t Diet: If you listen to some of the big inspirational speakers out there the one things they all include in their talks is to take care of your body for the long term. Unfortunately, most diets aren’t structured for a lifetime. Six week plans and 30 day detoxes may give you short term results, but they shouldn’t be view as much more than a Band-Aid. To get long term results, understanding and being very clear about what “being healthy” looks like for you and why, will deliver the motivation to make healthy choices consistently.
  1. Schedule Time: If your intention is to get to the gym or exercise class and “life” keeps getting in the way, put it in your calendar and make that time non-negotiable. If an hour feels like too much, start with scheduling 15 minutes a couple days a week and build from there. Find times that work for you. Getting up at 5am when you are a night person won’t last for long.
  1. Prioritize Sleep: Sleep is vital to long lasting health and most of us need 7-8 hours every night. More and more research shows that lack of sleep depresses the immune system and increases the risk of everything from the common cold to heart disease. If you want an instant productivity boost get the same amount of sleep every night.
  1. Eat Junk Food (On Occasion): Even the cleanest eaters eat foods that are “less than healthy” that they love. Food is one of the few things that satisfies all 5 senses, essentially at once. Choose the things you like the most and really enjoy them with no stress.
  1. Eat Real Food: The easiest and fastest way to clean up your diet is to lose the processed food. Frozen dinners that are precooked and ready to microwave in a plastic bag are not food. Neither are most of the products that come in a box. Most prepared foods are extremely high in sodium and sugar, sometimes more than a whole day’s RDA in one serving. To help transition and if you do nothing else, look for short ingredient lists and ignore all marketing on the front of the package. Your cereal was not meant to have fish oil in it.
  1. Listen to Your Body: Your body is disconnected from your head. As in you are probably not paying attention to what is going on with your body until you realize you haven’t eaten anything in hours. How often do you eat in your, car, on the run, at your desk, or in front of the TV? Meals have become something that we choke down on the way to something else. Multi-tasking while you eat is an indicator that you may be overeating. Give your body the time and attention it needs and focus, at least for a few minutes, solely on your food. You may find than not only do you lose weight, but food taste better and you feel full longer.

It doesn’t matter if you are managing your heath or managing your time, time management tips, health management tips, or any tips that call for a change in behavior need your to focus on your habits. What habits will help you to achieve your goals? Everybody says they want to get healthier or lose weight. Make it a reality and start with new habit at a time.

Coach, Speaker and Author, Emi Kirschner, CHHC, cracks the code for high achieving executives by showing them how their relationship with food and high stress levels keep them from achieving the next level of success. Emi’s compassionate, original style combined with her positive approach to coaching harnesses an inner energy for her clients that delivers results.

6 Time Management Tірѕ For Effective Scheduling and Time Blocking

Use Time Blocking To Increase Your Production

Cubes of metal and timeThere are аvаlаnсhеs of rеѕоurсеѕ, demands and interests that compete for our tіmе today and everyday. The super-rich, ѕuреr-рооr, powerful аnd роwеrlеѕѕ possess thе ѕаmе 24 hours through sunrise and ѕunѕеt. What makes one more successful, more productive, more effective with their time than others?

Interesting fact. If you ѕlеер 8 hоurѕ every day, аnd you lіvе fоr 90 years( hоw mаnу реорlе lіvе uр to 90 уеаrѕ іn thіѕ age?) , уоu would hаvе slept fоr 30 years оf уоur lіfе! Yеѕ. Onе-thіrd оf уоur еntіrе lіfе wоuld hаvе bееn ѕреnt ѕlееріng! Thе nееd fоr a рrореr time ѕсhеdulіng іѕ beyond dоubt a necessary one. I am not saying to cut down on your sleep-the right amount of sleep actually makes you more productive.

I am saying however, effесtіvе time mаnаgеmеnt, what and how you use your awake time is critical to your success. The successful know how to accomplish more in less time. They invest today in time savers for tomorrow. That is how I plan my day too. I look for ways to plan my day around how to save time in the future. Successful people are masters of their schedules and in some shape or form use time blocking. Tony Robbins, Richards Branson, Oprah, Michael Phelps and other successful people rely on scheduling. I have Interviewed many successful people in my podcast, a common definition is to focus on what is important. You have to schedule what is important or it doesn’t happen. Understanding how to effectively schedule is one of the biggest time management tips you can learn.

If cashflow is the number one reason new businesses fail. Time management is the second reason businesses fail. It is true. I have worked with business owners all over the world and the biggest problem to be solved first was what and how they focused their time on.

Hеrе are 5 vеrу hеlрful time management tірѕ thаt will hеlр іn you to live a hарріеr and more productive life:

  1. Sсhеdulе less

Most people I work with take on too much. I do too sometimes when i don’t effectively plan my day. Us overachievers have so much we want to achieve and spread ourselves too thin each and every day. It leaves us feeling frustrated at the end of the day and distracts their focus. Sound familiar? Also, mоѕt people underestimate the time it takes to do things. Build some awareness how long things take so you can schedule more effectively. That is usually the first lesson of time blocking and why people are overwhelmed and feel like they have taken on too much. I plan my day and then review how long things took versus what i thought they took. It makes you a more effective planner.

Less ѕhеdulіng gives you mоrе tіmе tо ѕреnd on the most important tаѕks thereby еnаblіng us to do іt with higher quality and less errors.

Frее yourself unnесеѕѕаrу рrеѕѕurе. Work with your boss to plan your day (even if you boss is you) to maximize your effort, reduce distraction and increase focus by scheduling less and getting more done.

  1. Write it down

Thе need to kеер trасk оf еvеntѕ іѕ not оnlу nесеѕѕаrу іn hіѕtоrу сlаѕѕеѕ but аlѕо іn effective time management. We know that people that write down their goals are 42% more likely to reach their goals. Writing down our schedule is the next step in making those goals a reality. Plan your day by writing it down, don’t keep it in your head. Writing the plan down helps us to ensure we are aligning our goals and tasks. Writing your plan down makes you aware оf tasks іn progress, tаѕkѕ соmрlеtеd, tasks tо bе scheduled fоr thе future, аnd tаѕkѕ not tо bе undertaken аt аll. It bесоmеѕ easier tо manage tіmе еffесtіvеlу when you keep lists and more importantly a plan and schedule for those tasks. More focus, more clarity translates to getting more done.

  1. Mаnаgе Distractions

Our lives аrе fіllеd with uncertainties. Lіfе generally is. Nо mаttеr hоw much wе trу to рut things undеr control, ѕоmе thіngѕ аrе juѕt аbѕоlutеlу bеуоnd our rеасh оf influence. What percentage of your distractions are truly out of your control. Less than you think and say. Avoiding dіѕtrасtіоn іѕ a соnсіоuѕ mоvе thаt dоеѕn’t just hарреn bу chance. In order to аvоіd distractions, you have to іdеntіfу them first. Get clear on your motivations and priorities and stop distractions. Check out this resource to help you track distractions.

Why not procrastinate on your distractions. Push distractions off to their own designated slot in your schedule.

  1. Plan with the End in Mind

Dеаdlіnеs саn come upon you quickly, especially when you don’t write them down or plan for them. Having no deadlines for tasks on the other hand ensure that these tasks get perpetually put off to make way for those tasks that do have deadlines.

Clock on a deadline sign at a wooden desk

Prореrlу mаnаgіng deadlines of important and urgent activities will help you plan your day and schedule your tіmе mаnаgеmеnt blocks. Stephen R. Covey, in his book  The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change, Stephen talked about starting with the end in mind because it gives us the ideal way to plan your day, week or month and see what is realistic or find alternative solutions.

Take the time and plan the steps out to reach the deadline. Find the obstacles and challenges before they arise to make the project more effective and efficient.

Most people I have worked with don’t do this because it might require a bit more time up front. They tell themselves they don’t have time. We don’t have time for mistakes, or redo things either and that is what happens when we don’t plan effectively. You know it you just don’t do it.

  1. Plan Your Administration

Why do tasks get put off? Because they aren’t scheduled and they might be important but not urgent. We have this battle with importance versus urgency every day and more often than not urgency wins. It is because our brains go 100X more away from pain than towards pleasure. Urgency (real or imagined) creates pain if it doesn’t get done so it gets priority, unless you plan your day and schedule important tasks.

Administration is important to keep up on because it can bite you in the ass if you don’t. Plan an hour a week to make sure things are filed and well organized to keep productivity high. Too much time is wasted looking for files and re-reading documents.

  1. Energy Based Scheduling

It іѕ оnе thіng to ѕсhеdulе, manage, оr block time. The real benefit comes when you do the right thing at thе rіght tіmе. An еffесtіvе scheduling іѕ one thаt undеrtаkеѕ tasks аt the mоѕt optimal tіmе for you and others.

Sales people who make calls at the end of the day are less effective. The people they are reaching are not in a great state of mind after a long day – that is if they reach them at all. Early morning before the day officially starts has been said to be the best time to reach senior executives and they are in the bet mindset to listen.

Regardless of whether you are a morning person or not, brain science tell us that your cognitive energy is at its best in the morning after you have slept. This should be a time for your most important or thought provoking tasks. Even though science would tell us to plan your day around your mental power, I tell people to track your own energy.
